A family business, established in 1966, Mayphil started as a trading house based in London.  The company grew and established long-lasting relationships in the automotive engineering sector.

Through organic growth and several acquisitions, the company expanded to its current level and has incorporated a series of businesses including manufacturing, systems assembly, power generation and distribution.

Since 1992, the company has been headquartered in South Wales.

Since the late 1960's, Mayphil has enjoyed a close relationship with Perkins Engines Company Ltd, Peterborough, becoming authorised distributors for several countries in South Asia and CIS.

1966 - Mayphil Traders established
1969 - Moved business to Tottenham, London
1975 - Moved to larger premises in Maidenhead, Berkshire
1983 - Acquired warehouse site in Langley, Berkshire
1986 - Acquired manufacturing facility in South Wales
1987 - Bought Coventry Pistons
1992 - Moved business to current location in South Wales
1996 - Formed Beaver Power
1998 - Bought Cords / Hepoflex to create Cords Duaflex Ltd
1999 - Formed Mayphil Lanka
2002 - Joined Mayphil Lanka with CIAS to form Macsa in Sri Lanka
2002 - Appointed Perkins distributors Sri Lanka & The Maldives
2006 - Perkins PGP
2009 - Established Quantum ES
2011 - Officially Appointed Perkins distributor Pakistan & Afghanistan
2011 - Launched Engine Support Services (PVT) Ltd in Pakistan
2012 - Joint venture formed with Unimex to create Industrial Power Group (IPG)
2012 - IPG appointed Perkins distributors in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia 
2012 - Appointed Perkins Gas Centre of Excellence
